Convention 2013! It was AWESOME!

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had at Stampin' Up! Convention!  There is a long list of things I enjoyed this year, from inspirational messages, visiting with friends old and new alike, creative classes, participating in a service project, and of course new product announcments!  And I am so excited to share some of them with you over the next few weeks.  One that I am particularly excited about are the Thinlits Card Dies.  Althought they are not available to order until August 1st, I know I can't wait to get my hands on them!

This die creates a Z fold type of card with a small portion (in this case the "hi" sentiment) that flips back and forth as you open and close the card!  The best part is that there are stamps and punches that coordinate with the 2 new designs that will make creating these cards super easy! I can't wait to show you how to use them!  If you are interested in ordering these dies when they become available please contact me or visit my online Stampin' Up! store.  www.kreationkorner.stampinup.net

For Labor Day weekend we attened the CO Balloon Festival in CO Springs, CO.  The weather wasn't the best so the balloons never left the ground, but just seeing them all standing was absolutely breathtaking.  I only wish I could have gone up in one.

Some more of the balloons, the pictures don't do them jsutice.

Wanted to share with you this really cute card I found the other day.  I thought it was fitting for the weekend!  Just love the color combinations and texture that was added! Credit goes out to Krista Fenton, so no materials are posted, sorry.

More Festival of Prints!

Just another great use for the Festival of Prints Designer Paper Stack.  This is a card that I make with one of my new favorite stamp sets called Bootiful Occasions.  You're sure to see more cards made with this set coming soon!  With such a busy background I tried to keep the rest of the card a little simpler.  I did want to add more texture so I added our new Core'dinations Card Stock.  First I put it through the Big Shot in an embossing folder and then sanded it to get the two-toned effect.  It was just what I needed to get the rustic feel.  I also added a piece behind the cowboy boot and just lightly sanded the edges before layering.

I know I'm behind, hope this makes up for it!

This beautiful card design was inspired by a card that I recieved at convention.  I would love to give credit where credit is due, but sadly, there was no information on the back of the card.  So though I can't claim it entirely as my own, the color scheme and stamp choices are mine.  The designer paper comes from the Festival of Prints Paper Stack in the Holiday catalog.  This paper is so versatile, I just love it!

You can see the pattern better here!  I stamped the label image in Elegant Eggplant and then using a blender pen colored around the edge.  Then I cut it out using the matching Framelit die.  This gave it a little extra color.  I also cut out and layered the saying with dimensionals and added a few pearls for the finishing touches!

Good Morning,

Just wanted to share a quick card with you that I made before going to a meeting Monday night.  You might recognize the pattern, Chevrons, they are all the rage right now!  You'll see it on purses, clothing, dishes, and much more, so here's the card, hope you like it!  I used the Festival of Prints Designer Series paper pack, all I can say is AWESOME!  It is so easy to use, it is sized for layering photos and with a little trimming it is great for card fronts too!  The patterns are beautiful and many of them are very versatile, not just for the holidays.  I'll be posting samples of some of the other designs soon.

I'm Back and starting New!

If this is your first time visiting my blog, Thanks for coming!  If you've been here before, Welcome back!  Either way, you might notice that there aren't a whole lot of posts yet.  That's because I've been missing in action for awhile.  I had taken some time off to figure out this whole balancing act called life.  As the kiddos get older, they get busier, which of course makes me busier!  It got a little overwhelming trying to keep up with everything.
I had the luxury of attending Stampin' Up! convention this past week and I must say I am re-energized !  So I decided that it is time for me to get focused on my business and sharing what I love with everyone I can, so I hope that you enjoy the things that I have to share with you from here on out!  I'm excited and I hope you'll check back often for inspiration, quotes, beautiful projects and occasionally a little glimpse of my life and family!

My friends and I celebrated 10 years with Stampin' Up!  It is awesome to be with such a great company for so long!
